You know how hectic the holidays can be.
Between holiday shopping, festivities, and cooking on top of your already hectic life, it’s no wonder it’s easy to get frustrated, anxious, and short-tempered.
What happened to spend more time with family, being joyful, and being merry? Have you ever planned ahead your holidays? Any Reasons to Plan Ahead the Holidays?
You may be thinking, “But Jennifer, I’m not ready yet. Let me enjoy Halloween first!”
A part of me is feeling the same way, but I also know that planning ahead is important too.
I used to get anxious too until I started simplifying by planning for the holidays in October.
You know how important it is to plan ahead in your business, so why not get ahead of the holidays this year?
Do you ever feel like nothing ever goes to plan? That no matter how much you plan and prepare, something always comes up? Maybe you’re not where you hoped to be in life right now.
Here’s the thing. That’s life. Things happen – tech issues, health issues, learning curves, opportunities, etc.
I’m writing something different today. It’s a topic I’ve been wanting to cover for awhile, and I’ve noticed that there are a lot more people in similar, unique, situations as me.
I’m not sure why, but for some reason I’ve been surprised about how many other entrepreneurs and business owners battle with mental health and chronic illness. You cannot see on the outside, but on the inside it’s a whole other world. These are topics I don’t hear enough about in our industry.
Sure everything on social media and online usually looks pretty and happy all the time, but we don’t see enough of the behind-the-scenes reality of business owners, so today I’m going to give you a little behind the scenes of my life.
I’m going to discuss what it’s like to personally battle depression, chronic illness and a couple of other health conditions that I continue to work through as I grow my business. (more…)
